Earth4All – New work for Zither-ensemble and electronics
On November 10th and 11th, an international workshop for young zither players will take place at the Anton Bruckner Private University. They are rehearsing “The Giant Leap”, a work for 50 zithers and electronics, together with Simon Gamper. The composer works at the interface between experimental and popular music. The Giant Leap is inspired by the future models of the Club of Rome (Association for a Sustainable Future) and aims to be part of this movement of outrage and optimism.

International Zither Exhibition

Opening Concert
Around 50 instruments are on display, from the emergence of the modern zither to the present. Furthermore, historical sheet music and literature, documenting the art of playing the zither in Austria and the Czech Republic, are shown.
The exhibition is organized by the Verein Grenz(en)überschreitende Musikkultur. You can find the dates of more concerts by different zither players on the Kautzen Museum website or get the information directly from the Verein Grenz(en)überschreitende Musikkultur.
